Since FDC's inception, we have emphasized continual improvement to our safety awareness and program. Our employee safety regulations come from knowledge gained through our many years of participation in the Associated Builders and Contractors, "Safety Training Evaluation Program" / S.T.E.P,. as well as, currently having a third party Safety firm on retainer to evaluate each project. We have received “Gold” and Platinum” levels of excellence from our trade association evaluations.
All officers and operation personnel have completed the OSHA 10 hour training program and many have continued through the 30-hour program. Each employee maintains a current First Aid and CPR certification at all times.
Site specific safety protocols and SDS documentation are an integral part of the company policy and are introduced at the Pre-Construction Conference, held with all subcontractors prior to project commencement. Copies of these programs and SDS sheets are maintained on site for regular review and assured compliance. Our third party consultant is immediately available to all our PM’s and Superintendents for any question that arises – often resulting in the third party inspector making a site visit to assure compliance.
We firmly believe that through pre-planning the work, proper sequence of activities, a clean-organized site, a well-informed workforce, and constant observation that we will achieve an accident free project. We have proven this to be true throughout our history and will continue to do so in the future.
Our current Texas Workers Comp EMR modifier rate is 0.63 – well below industry average.
